An end-to-end Football Data Analytics project, finalist at the SkillCorner x PySport Analytics Cup.

The pipeline follows an ELT approach, beginning with data extraction from SkillCorner’s OpenData GitHub repository. The data is then stored and progressively refined using a medallion architecture, resulting in a Delta Lake-based data lakehouse.

The second core component is an R Shiny web application that connects directly to the Delta Lake. It has been developed following R package structure and principles and it is designed to support tactical analysis and player scouting by leveraging tracking and dynamic events data.
