A visual analysis of the EURO 2024 Final using the scrollytelling technique, winner of the 2025 Posit Closeread Prize.

Built as a Quarto Website, it leverages the Closeread library to guide readers through the key tactical moments and decisive actions of the EURO 2024 Final between Spain and England in an engaging, narrative-driven format. The analysis is based on eventing data provided by Opta (via FotMob), and uses R’s ggplot2 and ggiraph packages to create interactive graphics.
